A bit of background on WICKED!! If you read Wizard of Oz, you would have an idea of the background of this musical. Except in WICKED, the storyline revolves more around Elphaba (Wicked witch) instead of Dorothy and how she became known as the Wicked witch of the West.
This song piece happened sometime after Elphaba (the wicked witch) decided not to join the Wizard of Oz and Glinda (the good witch) caught up with her. When I listened to the song, I felt very encouraged and motivated. Sometimes when you feel trapped at a crossroad and you feel pressured to take the road commonly traveled yet you dream of choosing the road less traveled, I hope this song gives you the strength to make the right decision for yourself.
