In the month of June, I didn't touch any fries, pizza, and soda.
But in July, I ate a hell load of 'em.
It was all because of this ad. If you want to get disgusted, just click on it.
For the month of June, this scare ad's poster was pasted on a bus stop I passed by every morning and it disgusted me so much that subconsciously I did not approach any of the food they showed, namely french fries 'do you STILL want fries with that?', pizza and soda.
But in the month of July, the poster was replaced by an upcoming movie so this visual reminder was removed. Hence, I went ahead and have them.
But now? My office elevator's little screen broadcasts this scare ad!! So I get see them almost every morning to work. They are not only advocating no fries, no pizza, no soda but also walk the stairways. Next thing I know, they'll advocate walking to work.
The images of our organs stewing in toxic fat was no longer a wake up call but an overzealous nagging voice making you feel bad each and every time you slack. Being fat may be a physical condition at first but it slowly brings about its huge emotional baggage. One loses their confidence and feeling of self-worth, and this scare ad does nothing to help but make people feel worse. I know this for a fact because I am not overweight but this ad made me feel immensely inadequate and bad each time I ate more than I ought to and not exercise. But if they think I will walk up 10 over flight of stairs every day, forget about it!
But... this ad costs the taxpayers money. Loads of money. So do me a favor and let me know in the comments below what do you think of the ad and if there is anyone out there whose life was truly changed for the better because they watched this ad, let me know.
Till then, have a nice one out there~! :)
A Typical Weekend Morning with Me~!
My friends have been complaining that I am hiding more and more often from them. Yes, I have been shying away from night activities and dinners. But that's because I am not a fan of night activities especially when I tend to end up as the unlucky designated driver!! Talk about bummer.
So while most of them sleep through the morning nursing hangovers or late nights, what I really like to spend my morning (apart from finishing laundry duty before noon) is to have a nice and relaxing brunch.
Imagine a hot steaming cup of mocha or latte and a simple and sweet bun or if I am really hungry, a hot salivating-worthy BIG brekkie.

Last weekend, I even caught sight of a black swan family!! The swanlings look so cute and fluffy as their parents stood protectively around them.
