April update

Hi there~!

This is like end of April when I finally got around to pen it down. But that is ok. Time flies past when you are enjoying, right?

So this month, I have finally gotten around to dye my hair. This time, I actually went to a salon to get it done properly. I have always wanted those light chestnut brown color without going through bleach because that is so damaging. But my hair wins again. You'll probably catch a glimpse of lighter brown shade when I go under the sun but that is about all there is to it. Felt like quite a waste of money. :(

I also got my fringe trim. I don't know whether anyone face this same problem, but I felt like you couldn't quite get the right length of fringe at any given time. It is either too short or too long. And once in a while, it grows to the right length, you blinked and then it is too long again! Amazing... It seemed almost as if my fringe grows at a different rate than the rest of my hair.

So, I wanted to show a really nice pic of me with the new fringe and hair color, ok?

But I got shy, ok?

This was how I looked like with my favorite spectacle in my previous post:

So the other day... after the fringe trim and the complimentary hair blow which gave volume to my hair. I took a selfie shot with my fave specs... and I looked like....

EDNA from 'The Incredibles'!! I kid you not!! So I just had to delete that pic from my Iphone. No offense, Edna. I really love her in 'The Incredibles' but I really don't want to look like that.

So, this is a selfie shot of myself without voluminous hair and without glasses, although with dusty mirror...

Almost... incredibly... utterly looks no different than before. I kid you not.

Have an awesome weekend, everyone~!

Review of Tony Moly Tomatox Magic White Massage Pack

This massage pack is encased in a tomato like container, which is so cute that I was torn between two biases. On one hand, it is so cute and girly that any girl would be prone to buy it and hope it is good. On the other hand, the super-critical me would think that if they invested so much into packaging, probably not much of that investment is injected into better formulation and such.

So I tried it once and when there is no adverse reactions and allergies, I breathed a sigh of relief and chucked it to the back of my cupboard more as a decoration for the cockroaches than for myself. And then super-consumer me took over and piled more mask collection over this mask that I kinda forgot its existence until one day while I was digging through my stash hoping for a purifying mask that I found this mask.
According to the description on Tony Moly:

TONYMOLY Tomatox Magic White Massage Pack contains tomato water and tomato ingredients. This multi-function product brings instant magic brightening and vitalizing effects when being used as a massage cream, and cleansing effect when being used as a pack. This soft massage cream and cleanly wash-off mask delivers highly vitalizing, truly clarifying, magic brightening, hydrating and protecting effects to the skin, leaving the skin amazingly bright, clear and supple.

Ok, I was honestly surprised that it is actually quite decent! I am not sure what I expected, maybe red gory bits of tomato even though it was clearly labelled as ‘Magic WHITE Massage Pack’? Or maybe I expected it to bend over backwards because it is ‘Magic’. That was a disappointment. Although (Spoiler alert!!) there is nothing MAGIC about it at all,  I love the fact that it can be moisturizing, purifying, and calming all at the same time. There are like tiny beads in it (not a lot) that makes it both a mask and a soft scrub. So you can do two things at once, moisturize and scrub. If you prefer not to scrub, no problem, just don’t rub excessively and wash after 10-15 minutes. I personally think that the scrub beads are a bit on the large side but since it is not a lot, it doesn’t result in peeling for my skin. But if you have acne prone skin, this might not be the product for you.

When I put it on my face, I felt slight tingling sensation around my open pores. I’d like to think that it is sucking the oil out but I am not too sure about it though. There wasn’t much whitening effect but it terms of brightening, I guess it does work as a scrub that scrubs away dull skin cells so it works? Overall, I would rate it out of 5 hearts as follow:

Moisturization    : YYY
Brightening        : YYY
Calming             : YYY

Still, given that it costs around $15.20, and it lasts quite a long time, and it is an all-in-one, I would definitely come back to it again. Even if I lost the little cute spoon that comes with it. :P

Booby Rants

I am back!

Yeah, been back for some time now but haven't had time or energy to blog or even attempt to blog during shower. The extent of my brain decay is seriously felt this morning when I almost missed my stop to work. FORTY FIVE minutes on transit and I didn't feel it because I was in a daze!! Wasn't sure what my brain has been up to...

Anyway... whenever I am away from home for a long time (and yes, 3 months is a long time :P), I always have this picture perfect image of home. How everything was perfect and cozy and warm and so crazily wonderful, I just don't know why I left the nest at all.

Then I touched down and I balked!! Omagerd... the humidity, the spit on the road, the gross toilets, the rubbish overflowing from the rubbish bin onto the side of the road and on the road and into drains... horrible horrible open channels we call drains of clogged rubbish with awful smell. But I can tolerate all this, even live with it (provided it doesn't clog my pores, which it didn't for the short period I was there so hooray!!)

I think what is most annoying is coming back and having to go through comments about my boobs. Seriously? Why, Malaysians, why??

My boobs are definitely not big or humongous or ginormous but it is not freaking small. At least for me, they are normal. And I do not like to shove my boobs out there for people to see or marvel. Not even a big fan of push up because they hurt. So, I really appreciate it if people could tear their eyes away from my asset a while to ponder WTF do they have to comment about my boobs?

It is hard for me because heck, I was born with sisters having bigger boots than me. And this just seems like one of those silly things that siblings like to poke fun at. You wait, I thought sneakily, when I get pregnant it will get bigger! But before that even happen, I am really enjoying my size.

But I draw my line when friends commented on my boob size, guy friends especially. Please could you tear your eyes away from my boobs just a while to rethink the statement you just said?? Once, a guy commented that his new found gf has bigger boobs than me. WTF, man? WTF?? Then another guy suddenly commented about my boobs, and this was someone I kinda thought of as a really close and not-a-perv-kinda-friend. If I was shoving my asset in front of your face, I would totally understand if you have to say 'cut it out, it is not that pretty or big or wonderful' but I am not doing anything like that. So WHY do you have to comment? So I said, 'If my boobs - small that it is - was able to grab your attention without me even trying, then I'll say it has done it's duty as boobs - small that you claimed it is-' *Burn!*

People seem to forget that boobs' main role was to provide sustenance to your future baby. So since when is it my boobs need to please their eyes?

Please ... in a parallel universes, small boobs are to die for!
