Break in KL

People have always commented that the food portions are bigger in Australia than Malaysia, I guess naturally I want to post on this matter cause that is all wrong~!

Look at the stuff I found!!
Humongous steamed bun! One that is as big or bigger than my face! This bun is named after a famous actress called Amy Yip who has huge boobs and these are supposedly modeled after 'em. Impressive.... #foodporn!!  It contains mince pork, chicken bits (with bones still intact) and egg (too bad they didn't stuff the whole egg). And that humongous bun got to settle within the stomach of four of us.

And Giant Macaroon!! You can see my nail at one side of the macaroon, right? That is how big it is!!
And how about this humongous birthday card?!? Kinda make me wish my hubby would gift me this on my upcoming birthday~! Can you imagine how absolutely eye-friendly it is for my eyes??

Last but not least, the most humongous banana ever!! (Pisang stands up banana in malay). Okie la, to be fair, it is a papaya, I don't know why they label it as banana but close enough. :P

Then I listened to how people commented on how dirty China citizens are cause they spit on the roads and all that. Hello... people do that in Malaysia too! I don't even wanna wear slipper when I visit the local kopitiam and markets because it is so gross. One time I saw the apek in front of me spit on the road and I accidentally step on it, I really want to throw away my shoes afterwards.

Luckily I didn't because I only brought one pair of shoes back and I really need it to protect my feet against the spit and what not.

So till next time... bb....

2011's reflection

Can't believe that the year of rabbit can come and go so swiftly. I also can't believe that it took me this long to publish this post. Every time a year come to end, I have Soo many things going through my head, Soo many things I wanted to pen down, Soo many hopes, dreams and anticipations that I hold for the coming year. Do you too? But this year, somehow I am more subdued, is this what being matured means? That doesn't sound like fun... I didn't even have my annual Xmas wishlist. Damn!

But the ending of this year had imparted many precious lessons I hold dearly. Let it never be forgotten!

The many facades of me over the year... Don't forget me and my doppelgänger!! Sista, u r SOO pretty! :P

I have made many decisions based on gut feel, and strangely it has brought me a long way. And the one single time I use my head, I regretted it Soo much that it seems that regret consumed me wholly. O well, it is never too late for happiness! I can't turn back time and unmake the decision that I did but there is still time to do the things I wanted to do! (told u I am being mature :P) but I seriously doubt the credibility of what I wanted to do as I sing along to Bruno mars' lazy song. Wth? :P Btw, if you think making decisions based on gut feel isn't good role model qualities, I would remind u decisions can also be made via flipping a coin and etc.

One important decision that I will make from the lessons I obtained this year is to one day return to my country. I have not been particularly home sick since I arrived in this beautiful country, abandoning my msian slang for one that sound so cowgirl~! Nodding along as ABC complained to me of msian who can't drop their msian slang. Being aghast at the state of our politics back home. But seriously, we can complain and lament and as I put it 'roll around in frustration', Msia is like durian. U hate the smell, u hate how heaty the fruit is, but it is Soo addictive. Listening to ah beng in the movie 'woohoo' speaking more than 2 language in a single sentence is endearing! Wth?? Seriously, do u know it is harder to blend so many languages in a single sentence than using one language in a single sentence?? (yeah, I am making this up but it makes sense). When it comes to swear words, there is no such thing as language barrier.

Another thing that I can't forget is the food. Absolutely cannot forget it since u will see food on every corner and everywhere u go in msia, more ubiquitous than clean toilet! The smell haunting u when u think u have enough, enticing and seducing u to take that next bite out of ur meticulously planned out diet. Hence destroying ur dream of ever slimming down naturally except genetically prone. *sad*

Food from all over msia...

Hey, not done yet... Got some more food...

Wth?? Still got ar?

All the same, love Australia! Till that day I can go back msia to reunite with my family, still appreciating every single moment here.

Beautiful places in WA...

Wishing everyone a happy and prosperous dragon year!!
